Iulius Rufinianus (Ps.)

Uncertain date

Ps. Julius Rufinianus is the name give to the author - or authors - of two short works entitled De schematis dianoeas and De schematis lexeos that were falsely attributed to Julius Rufinianus.  From a chronological standpoint, we can presume that whoever compiled them lived around the same period as Rufinianus, since its style appears to conform, at least in broad terms, to his manner of writing. The author was undoubtedly a rhetorician - probably a schoolmaster - who was very educated and shows some knowledge of Greek.  [A. Balbo; tr. C. L. Caterine].
