Keil published, from a tenth-century manuscript, the brief preface to a commentary on the Ars minor of Donatus (GL 5.325.2-23), in which the writer first lamented the adulterated and interpolated state in which Donatus’ text was circulating in his times, then explained why he chose to present the Ars minor.
