Three new texts are available on the DigilibLt website. Users can read and search Florus' Epitoma de Tito Liuio, one of the most significant documents of the reception of Livius' Ab urbe condita libri, as well as two works that retell the story of the Trojan War,intermingled with novelistic elements: De excidio Troiae attributed to Dares the Phrygian, and the Ephemeris belli Troiani, attributed to Dictys of Crete. [A. balbo]
The first phase of the project focuses on late-antique pagan prose works; no freely accessible online database is available for these texts. All the website features, except Beta coding, are active in this initial release of the website. A small selection of texts is provided: fourth century works on Alexander the Great (Iulius Valerius, Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis, Itinerarium Alexandri, Collatio Alexandri et Dindimi, Epitoma rerum gestarum Alexandri Magni, De morte testamentoque Alexandri) and a collection of technical and scientific works (ps. Plinius - De medicina, Cetius Faventinus, Gargilius Martialis - Medicinae ex holeribus et pomis, ps. Antonius Musa). Each text is accompanied by a brief introduction and a bibliography. [R.Tabacco; tr. L. Battezzato]
